Azerbaijani fried eggs with pomegranate (Narnumru)


Fried eggs with juicy garnet are a dazzling contrast of flavors and colors. And this is achieved by using only 3 INGREDIENTS-onions, pomegranate seeds, and eggs. Nevertheless, the result is a vivid dish full of bright taste. Unique. Exotic. Delicious. Nutritious.

For 4 servings

Azerbaijani fried eggs with pomegranate (Narnumru)

Butter for frying
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 cup of pomegranate seeds (can be more)
4 large eggs
Ground black pepper


Heat the oil over medium heat with a non-stick frying pan.
Add onion and cook stirring, until light golden color, about 10 minutes.
Add pomegranate seeds, cover and cook over medium heat, stirring until the grains are allowed to juice, about 10 minutes.
Accurately drive one egg in order not to damage the yolk. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook for about 5 minutes until the protein is white. Serve with bread and sprinkle with cilantro (optional)
